The Coral Gables Commission selected Colin Baenziger & Associates as the search firm charged with helping the City of Coral Gables find its new top administrator. “I am thrilled and honored to be selected,” said Baenziger Nov. 19. “The first step is for me to meet with commissioners individually before the end of the year to find our what they are looking for in the next city manager.” He added that the recruitment process could then begin in earnest early next year. And while the City Commission voted unanimously to approve the decision of selection committee (made up only of Human Resources Director Marjorie Adler and Finance Director Don Nelson) at its Nov. 18 meeting, none of the commissioners were seemingly satisfied with how the search for a search firm played out, and to a lesser extent who was eventually chosen. full story
