Aventura’s 13th Annual July 4th Fireworks Display

City of Aventura, Country Club Drives, (305) 466-8930 or www.cityofaventura.com. Enjoy the 13th Annual July 4th Fireworks Display. Viewing along Country Club Drives. Rain date for fireworks is July 5. Free. Fireworks: 9 p.m.

 

Baptist Hospital Fourth of July extravaganza

Lakeside at Baptist Hospital, 8900 North Kendall Drive, (786) 596-2302 or www.baptisthealth.net.  Baptist Hospital, in conjunction with the Cherry Grove Neighbors Association, Dadeland Forest Estates, Galloway Acres, Whisperwood Village Condo Association and Snapper Creek Park Homeowners Association, invites the community to a Fourth of July extravaganza. The evening includes live entertainment featuring the dynamic and captivating sound of Bryan Gonzalez and his band, and concludes with a spectacular fireworks display. Food and refreshments are available for purchase. Limited free parking is available in the parking garage. Those attending should bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free. 6-9:30 p.m. Fireworks: 9 p.m.

 

The Barnacle Historic State Park Old-Fashioned 4th of July Picnic

The Barnacle Historic State Park, 3485 Main Highway, Coconut Grove, (305) 442-6866 or www.floridastateparks.org/TheBarnacle/.  Enjoy the 'Fourth' at an old-fashioned picnic on the grounds of this 19th century pioneer homesite. This family-oriented event features lawn games, kite-making, knot-tying demonstrations, and more. The house and grounds are decorated in traditional July 4th bunting, as when Commodore Munroe's family lived here. The public is invited to join the staff and volunteers by wearing a period costume. Bring a blanket and picnic lunch and enjoy the day's fun and celebration. $5 for 12 years and older; $2 for ages 6-12; under 6 are free. Park hours: 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Celebration: 11 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.

Bayfront Park America’s Birthday Bash

www.bayfrontparkmiami.com. Celebrate the birth of our great nation with one of the largest fireworks displays in South Florida. Shot from a barge located in Biscayne Bay, this spectacular display can be seen from anywhere in the park. Enjoy food and beverages and a children’s play area.  Bring the whole family. Free. The Park is open all day. Fireworks: 9 p.m.

Coconut Grove’s All Day 4th of July Celebration

From an 11 a.m. picnic at The Barnacle, live music throughout the Grove and nighttime fireworks at Peacock Park. Free concert to feature BlueManGroove, First October, DJ Dave & surprise guest. Plus children’s activity area. Free. 4-10 p.m. Fireworks: 9 p.m.

 

Doral’s Independence Day celebration

Activities will also include rides, games, food & beverages, face painting and balloon artists. Parade begins at 10 a.m. at the Doral Costa Office Park, 9800 NW 41 St, - HSBC Bldg and will travel west to NW 102nd Avenue, then north to Doral Park, 5300 NW 102 Ave. Concert at J.C. Bermudez Park. Headliner: Carlos Oliva and the Judge’s Nephews. Opening Act Dear Dad, Yours Truly. Free. Concert: 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Fireworks and Laser Light Show: 9 p.m.

 

Hialeah’s Amelia Earhart Park Fourth of July celebration

Amelia Earhart Park, 401 E. 65 St., Hialeah, (305) 685-8389.  The public is invited to celebrate America’s Independence with a full-day of concerts by popular local hip-hop and Latin-music performers, culminating with an illuminating fireworks display in the evening. The celebration will also feature great food and all of the park’s amenities including a mountain bike trail, the Bill Graham Farm Village, paddle boat rides, a dog park and lots more. Visitors should bring lawn chairs and blankets. Admission to the event is free. There is a parking fee of $10 per car; $15 per bus and RV. 1 p.m. – 10 p.m. Fireworks: 9:30 p.m.

 

Miami Beach’s Fourth of July Celebration

http://web.miamibeachfl.govThe City of Miami Beach presents its annual Fourth of July patriotic celebration with fireworks at 9 p.m. on the beach. Free bus shuttle transportation from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. from Collins Avenue and 72 & 81 streets to Washington Avenue & 11 Street. Everyone is encouraged to arrive early, bring beach chairs, and towels. No coolers or bottles will be permitted on the beach. Free. Fireworks: 9 p.m.

 

South Miami’s 2008 Fourth of July Celebration

Palmer Park, 6120 S.W. 67 Ave., South Miami, (305) 663-6338 or www.cityofsouthmiami.net. Come enjoy live bands, activities for the entire family, face painting, games for the children, and food vendors. Free. 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Fireworks: 9:15 p.m.
