ART KIDS Art Kids is a daycare center for children with parents visiting Art Basel Miami Beach during public show days (Dec. 4 - 7, noon to 8 p.m., Dec. 7, noon to 6 p.m.). Children enrolled in the program will participate in activities including arts and crafts, art history and storytelling, under the supervision of The Miami Children’s Museum’s well-trained staff. DOUBLE THE PLEASURE HALLOWEEN CONCERT Gemini  - San & Laz  Twin Troubadours . A musical celebration for the whole family.  San & Las, Twin Troubadours are actually twin brothers.  If the Pied Piper had been twins, odds are he would have been “Gemini”. PETER & THE WOLF Frost Symphony Orchestra; Thomas Sleeper, Music Director;  Martin Bookspan, Celebrity Story Teller. The story of Peter & the Wolf comes to life through the immortal music of Russian composer, Sergei Prokofiev’s favorite children’s classic  The cast of characters are portrayed by instruments of the Frost  Symphony Orchestra.  The four families of the orchestra will be introduced in an easy and understandable way.  Other musical selections especially suited for the younger set will also be on the program.  Adults $12, Children $10. Nov.  23, 3 p.m.  

THE KAZOOBIE KAZOO SHOW Rick Hubbard. Rick Hubbard celebrates nearly two decades of presenting positive family entertainment.  He has given away over one million kazoos. STRINGS AND THINGS Cleveland Duo with James Umble, piano, violin and saxophone. SHALL WE DANCE? Miami City Ballet Dancers Deanna Seay, principal dancer and dancers from the Miami City Ballet present a children’s hour devoted to ballet.  The young audience will be guided through the journey of preparing a ballet, rehearsing and finally the polished performance..  A very special afternoon!  Beautiful dancers, beautiful music, beautiful costumes and more.  Deanna and her friends teach firsthand the challenge of the basic steps and partnering.  A not-to-be-missed afternoon, so be sure to bring along your dancing shoes and wear your favorite tutu. “THE WIZARD OF OZ” Back by popular demand to begin the new season is The Wizard of Oz. The Prince Street Players’ version of this L. Frank Baum classic is a magical tale that is unforgettable to the whole family, with book and lyrics by Jim Eiler and music by Jim Eiler and Jeanne Bargy. The wondrous world of Oz enchants and captures the hearts of audiences of all ages as a tornado whisks Dorothy away to the magical Land of Oz. $15. Saturdays, 2 p.m. Oct.15 – Nov. 8. 

“A CHRISTMAS CAROL, THE MUSICAL” This Charles Dickens classic takes a musical turn in this festive holiday favorite, adapted by Nina Felice and Earl Maulding with music and lyrics by Scott Morlock and Earl Maulding. Tiny Tim and the entire Cratchit family join three unearthly “Spirits” in trying to convince Ebeneezer Scrooge to change his “Bah-Humbug” ways. $15. Saturdays, 2 p.m. Nov. 20 – Dec. 27, 2009.

“ALICE THE MUSICAL” In this musical version of Lewis Carroll’s beloved book, curious Alice, the heroine of our story, tumbles down a magic rabbit hole and into an enchanted world full of whimsical and wacky characters. “KIDS FEST” A brand new children’s musical chosen from Actors’ Playhouse national call to competition for new children’s works will showcase at the Miracle Theatre April 29 - May 30, 2009 on Saturdays at 2 p.m. The winning musical will be announced in July 2008. The National Children’s Theatre Festival Kids Fest will premiere the musical and include all day cultural activities for the whole family. May 2-3, 2009.

“STUART LITTLE” Based on the book by E.B. White, this charming musical about a little guy underdog who is determined to survive in a real people’s world will touch your heart and tickle your funny bone. Cats, cars and ships are just a few of the challenges that Stuart faces in his quest to be accepted for who he is and not what he looks like. Joseph Robinette dramatized this adorable production with music by Ronna Frank and lyrics by Joseph Robinette and Ronna Frank. $15. Saturdays, 2 p.m. June 25 – Aug. 1, 2009.

ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND The classic fairytale comes alive for the whole family. Opening Nov. 8 with its much applauded production of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” which Artistic Director Stephanie Ansin adapted from Lewis Carroll’s classic fairy tale.
